Hi Leah, I finally overcame the dread factor and started BB program. I should not have dreaded it afterall - you so cleverly designed it to build up for each 4-week period. Anyway, I am following it to the t, and not sure if there is any place to add some of your new monthly releases. Does it make sense to do any of the ones you added for instance in Feb-March to the days off from BB workouts? Or should I wait until I'm through 24 weeks to try them out? thank you
I understand the dread factor!! I get it! I feel that way some days with my workouts or starting up a new training plan. The way most of the Ballet Body segments were designed with a large focus on movement patterns or just one anatomical focus, it can feel a little dreadful at times especially if you crave a lot of variety in a single workout. But, my hope is the training cycles help with boredom and at the same time allows adaptation and progression for optimal results. You can absolutely add in any of my new monthly workouts into the program. The BB cycles are 4 weeks long with 3 weeks of workouts repeated on the specific day with a one week recovery. So if you would like to try a new workout, just match up a similar focus with the weekly workout. For example, if you would like to try a new, lower body workout, you can replace a lower body segment from the BB training plan lining it up with your current training week and day. This affords you the opportunity to try new workouts every week. I wouldn't recommend replacing the same body focused segment every single week with the new workout. For example, if the BB training plan lists "Rock the Hips" Week 1: Day 1, I wouldn't recommend replacing this same workout Week 2 and 3 as well. Just keep to swapping out one workout a week on varying days with one new weekly workout. And, I think it is completely fine to replace BB workout with any of the with a body weight or Iron Barre/weighted workouts!
