Hey I've just released an Iron Barre Blueprint (workout guide) for this week. This includes a 3 day workout plan for one week, and the blueprints will change every 1-3 weeks. When you click on Day 1 you will see the workouts that you can follow that day, and click back on the click down menu to view Day 3 and 5. Day 5 will be available this week on Thursday night with the new weekly workout plus there will be a bonus workout this week too! Since I'm getting this out so late, you can start Day One -Tuesday, Day Two- Thursday, and Day 5- Saturday, or follow M-W-F. You are more than welcome to add some workouts to these days as well as I'm keeping workouts under 45 minutes (I'm trying my best to keep under 45 minutes!).
Thank you, Leah!
This is great - thanks! Is there somewhere I can find what equipment will be needed for each workout so I can prep the day before?
The workout segments list in beginning what equipment needed or I introduce segment by telling you what you need. I’m going to add a general equipment list to the subscriber page. Most segments can be done with dumbbells or kettlebells. I highly recommend a barbell set, but understand this may not be something eveyone will have it want to purchase at first. If you are working out at gym this isn’t a problem. I highly encourage at least one heavier pair of dumbells and one lighter set of weights to start. Plus some resistance bands/loops ( very inexpensive )- I ordered some of mine on amazon. I will work on adding the equipment list in the blueprint page for the workouts so you don’t have to view every one! Thanks for suggestion!
Similar to the question above, are there suggested amounts of weight for each segment? Thank you!
Not suggested weights because everyone has different strength/training levels, but I sometimes will reference what I’m lifting. You want the weight to be heavy enough to make last few reps challenging or difficult to finish but depends on exercise and workout. Based on the female clients I’ve trained, I usually start with 20-25 lbs. for “ heavier” weight starting point, but this is just a very general recommendation. Now a heavier leg exercise will be easier with 25 lbs. than an upper body exercise, so it depends what a heavier weight set will be for the exercise. I’ll state in the workouts to increase weight if it’s too easy so you are challenging yourself. Trial and error at first until you know your weight limits. Hope this helps!
Will you create a workout guide that is under 44 minutes for the Ballet Body section too? I workout in my living room while my girls are doing their own thing but I after about 30ish minutes, they get really bored making it difficult for me to finish longer workouts.
Can I join this? Hi, folks. Favorite: foldovers. I'm new online, but I did foldovers with the Ballet Body DVD and it took a year even to attempt them without modification. I feel them mostly in my core. I think my core is pretty weak, and the flat tire around my middle is my biggest posture problem. If that makes sense.
Iron Barre Core 1 and BB Glissade series are great core tighteners!
Also, see post below!:)
nrfafalko, I love foldovers! I feel like such a ballerina when I do them!!! Try some of the new Iron Barre core workouts. They are pretty intense and will make you stronger in no time! I like the one where Leah uses a plate . . . .also there is a sliding core one using gliders that makes me have awesome doms. Enjoy!
